| The Fourth Session of the Ninth National Committee of the Chinese
People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) is scheduled to close Monday afternoon,
before new members are co-opted to the CPPCC Standing Committee.
According to sources with the secretariat, a number of conclusions are expected to be
adopted at the closing meeting, including the Political Resolution of the 4th Session of
the 9th CPPCC National Committee, the Resolution on the Work Report of the Standing
Committee, and the Resolution on the Report on Proposals since the 3rd Session of the 9th
CPPCC National Committee, as well as a report on the examination of the proposals given by
the Subcommittee for Handling Proposals.
