| ¡¡ After taking off the heavy winter coats, we become more
active and enjoy the warm sunshine and spring breeze. However, this season is difficult
for people who suffer from chronic bronchitis because of the risk of relapse. The
following are some dishes effective in preventing and curing the disease.
Jellyfish and chufa
Cook 50 grams of jellyfish and 100 grams of husked water chestnuts. Add a small
amount of salt. This dish can be eaten daily.
Ginger soup
Prepare 9 grams of ginger and 50 grams of brown sugar. Pound the ginger and add
the sugar. Stir the mixture in warm water and take the soup once a day. Keep warm after
drinking the soup. The sweating that results is helpful in getting rid of the cold inside.
Peanut and black date
Prepare 30 grams of peanuts and the same amount of black dates. Braise them with
rock candy over a slow fire for two hours. Take half the soup at a time and finish it in
one day.
