autonomous regions (Nanning, Kunming, Urumqi, Hohhot, Harbin, Changchun and Shijiazhuang), and 11 capitals of inland provinces and autonomous regions, including Taiyuan, Hefei, Xining and Yinchuan.
These border cities are well situated to display their advantage in developing economic and trade cooperation with neighboring countries.
In accordance with State Council regulations, these borders cities can set up their own border economic cooperation zones and implement preferential policies similar to those in the coastal economic and technological development zones.According to a news release from the Ministry of Public Security, China opened another 56 counties and cities to foreigners with the approval of the State Council.
