Tsinghua University and Tianjin University to Build Greenhouse Gas Research Centers

The world famous ABB group announced in Beijing that it is sponsoring two chemical labs to conduct research on greenhouse gases at Tsinghua University and Tianjin University, according to Beijijng Review.

The founding of these two laboratories in April will turn the two universities into world-class greenhouse gas research centers.

Led by ABB, Chinese scientists in the two labs will explore the creation of new high-quality fuel with new technologies. An ABB executive said the group is paying a great deal of attention to the greenhouse effect. At the last World Energy Conference, ABB 's President and CEO called for a global project with the goal of cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 1 billion tons every year. Cooperation with Chinese scientists is an important step in achieving that goal.
